Hi. I just got an Edrumin10 and a bunch of new Yamaha pads and cymbals. I have an one old PCY150S and one PCY130S. I am able to get them working temporarily but randomly the Edrumin software will give me a red exclamation point and says there is an incompatibility issue. If I reset the trigger back to the default setting and re-do the midi notes it will only sometimes get the cymbal working again.
The new PCY135 cymbals and RHH135 hi hat are working fine.
Any trouble shooting ideas would be appreciated.

Re: Yamaha PCY150S Incompatibility
May seem an obvious point, but have you swapped cables over to check it's definitely the pad?

Re: Yamaha PCY150S Incompatibility
I did swap cables. No luck. Thanks anyway.
The PCY150S is set for Yamaha 3-zone cymbal in the eDRUMin software.
The PCY130S is set for dual zone cymbal with Yamaha wiring enabled.
Both get the error message.
The edge and bell were reversed as well. Maybe a rewire is needed to match the new ones?
Edit: Stereo input selected. PC version w/ Win10 and Reaper w/ Superior Drummer 3

Can you make sure you are using version 1.3.1 and let me know if the issue persists.

Re: Yamaha PCY150S Incompatibility
I updated to 1.3.1.15 this morning . The problem still persists. Thanks.
My cables are the Yamaha provided unshielded TRS. I also tried Shielded TRS with no luck.

Re: Yamaha PCY150S Incompatibility
I have a PCY150S that is always hooked up to me rig, and it performs properly--no compatibility issues, and bell and rim are not mixed up.
Is it possible that at some point in time those pads were modified to work on a Roland module?

Re: Yamaha PCY150S Incompatibility
It hasn't been modded for Roland wiring. It bought it new and opened it up for the 1st time to check the jack today.
I got it working for a few hours both yesterday and today. If I reboot or reset the pad settings it errors out.
I appreciate your time and don't want to waste it. It is most likely a problem with my hardware. It is old but only lightly used. I do wonder what the software is sensing and giving the error for. A bad switch maybe?
I didn't have that bell/edge reversed problem earlier. But the bell stopped working after several hours.

Re: Yamaha PCY150S Incompatibility
It's looking for an open loop (no resistance, and no capacitance) on the ring connection.
