I need help asap so I can order edrummins

Post by Relic »

Hello I am looking to order edrummin & I wanted to know how many edrummins I need for a ATV set that consists of 3 toms 1 snare that I believe have a built in dual zone piezo,& a rimshot afaik,& it has 3 cymbals & hihat that are all 3 zone afaik.

I also need to know if I need to buy some special type of splitter or just a regular type for this type of setup. My final question is,does edrummin offer any advantage over a roland td25 for triggering vsts,in other words does it offer faster latency & response in vsts,or does it only offer the amazing software & price as its its sole advantages? appreciate your input greatly asap because I want to order asap.(if I get any multiple item discount I'm unaware of it would be taken(say for example I bought 3 edrummins to fully utilize my hardware & make me not need splitters that cost $30 each x3 let me know if that would work better or not require expensive splitters for my atv cymbals.)

Again thanks in advance

The way I count it... yeah to get full use of all zones you’d fill up three devices. Toms and snare into 1 device. Two cymbals into a second and another cymbal and hi-hat/controller into a third. You wouldn’t need any splitters in this setup.

Here is a post where Rob discusses latency of eDRUMin:

Here is a post from a splitter discussion on this forum... I bought:

It appears It isn’t available any more but it is a simple 1 stereo to 2 mono.

I can’t speak to the Roland vs eDRUMin because I’ve never owned a Roland. I can say the eDRUMin and software combination is a great package. It triggers SD3 very well. And the possibilities seem endless. I run four them: dual zone snare with PS, 6 dual zone toms, single zone China, two dual zone crashes (with a third on the way), dual zone splash, three zone ride and two dual zone hi-hats with controllers.
