Bluetooth adapter for eDrumin 8 (eDi4-8-10...)

As we discuss a bit off-forum, I'm still in a quest to get a wireless connection between my macbook and my eDi8.

Why?
In my case I want to be able to use the macBook as a "front of house" for small gigs, just to be able to adjust the SD3 mixer to "sound-check" my drums. Obviously I want to break free from having to have a 50 feet long USB-B>USB-C cable to achieve that

So far I tried a powered WIDI Uhost (plugged on the USB-B port of eDi8) but that doesn't work as you know.

WIDI have other options but (one of) the bottleneck seems to be to supply power to the eDi8 (which doesn't have PS port)

Question:
1- can i try to provide power (5V) using the HOST port of the eDi8?

No you cannot. Just supply power to it using a USB charger.

Furthermore, I just realized my answer was in the eDi FAQ:
"-Can it run using only power from the usb port?
Yes, it can. The external power connector is there for powering the device when not using USB."

So sorry, I should have been more thorrow in my research here
