Yamaha cymbal wiring giving intermittent crash on bell.

Post by evh0u812 »

Hi Rob, just wondering if you can point out anything i can try to get this working.? Im using a 10k resistor on the edge trigger as per yamahas wiring but i get intermittent edge sounds on the bell. It doesnt seem to be velocity dependant and is seemingly random. How critical is the resitor value? Wondering if its worth putting a 20k trimpot there instead to dial it in. Thoughts?

Sounds like your bell switch isn't making good even contact. You are modifying a cymbal from another manufacturer?

Hi Rob, same problem here, I modded a lemon 11" ride to yamaha wiring and it sometimes plays a crash when I hit the bell.
