Using a Sustain Pedal in a Trigger Input on the eDrumIn

Post by Weenie_Soap »

Howdy everyone,

I’m currently using a Yamaha FC5 sustain pedal in the pedal input on my eDrumIn(4) to trigger notes, and it’s working great. However, I was wondering if it’s possible to hook up a second sustain pedal but connect it to one of the trigger inputs instead of the dedicated pedal input.
Has anyone tried this or found a workaround? Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!

Kind regards,
Harley

I have some experimental code to support switch type pedals on the ring connection of an input, but it's not well fleshed out yet. Probably won't be supported any time soon as it's going to take a fair bit of UI changes.

Thank you for the quick reply, Rob! That sounds great. I really appreciate the effort you’re putting into it, and I look forward to giving it a try when it’s ready.
