snare missing hits

Post by bpjacobsen »

Just today I started noticing my snare is missing quite a few of the triggers. It has been working fine for a while. I need to check to make sure all 3 cones are set properly but assuming that is all good, what settings could I adjust in edrumin app to fix mixed triggers? I played with thresh, gain and other settings but not sure what would more likley contriubute to missed triggers. the snare is a DIY with 3 evenly spaced cone triggers mounted to a pvc post. Again, this started recently so not sure what the issue issue is.

NVM, I realized after posting this, my buffer was set too low at 8. Changed it to 16 and so far, so good. I think I would need a more powerful processor to use a buffer size of 8. I had changed it when I was updating stuff.

What interface are you using that lets you go down to 8 sample buffers? I'm using an RME Babyface and it only lets me go down to 48 samples.

Rob, I'm using a UA Volt 4 interface (Universal Audio)
