Calibrate function fault?

Hey,
Just received my two edrumin units and so far so good, real easy interface etc. Some problems I have run into though. I am currently setting up some DIY central triggers and I made sure I selected the right wiring, selecting between stereo and mono, but whenever I hit calibrate it just kills the trigger response and volume, I can hit the centre of the piezo and it'll sound like its on 10 velocity or something. I have manually adjusted the settings and it doesn't seem to have any effect. I wiped the modules clean and redownloaded the firmware which fixed the problem, but it now comes back whenever I recalibrate. I know the simple solution is to not calibrate them, but I thought i'd bring it up in the community to see if it is something I am doing or if its a known issue? I should mention that I have replaced the centre mounted piezo twice already thinking it was the triggers fault, even consulted the seller I got them from. Reflashing the firmware fixed that problem, but it keeps happening.
