Hey Rob,
So I updated to the latest version and after the software update and firmware update, the 2nd ED is not sending out signals, at least the software side isn't.
It is getting them and I see the info when I strike the pads, but it does not get passed through the 1st ED to Ableton and Superior Drummer.
All the notes from the 1st one work fine though in SD???
I tried powering the 2 units on and off and it didn't do anything different.

So, you're saying the control application is working fine for both devices, but your are not hearing the MIDI from the second unit in Ableton live? I tested here and my ED8 is passing MIDI correctly. The changes I made between these past 2 builds are tiny and shouldn't be capable of preventing MIDI from passing. Two questions:

1. Has the update fixed the crashing?
2. What do you see in the eDRUMin MIDI monitor when you hit a pad on your second device?

Yes the control device seems to work fine for both devices, after the update the 2nd chained eD does not register in Superior Drummer or in Ableton with SD loaded.

The ED's are hooked together via usb.

It worked fine up to the point I updated.

(I have not seen a crash since updating. But sometimes the crash happens when i am not at the machine and it is just sitting there, maybe relatyed to the ghost note issue I posted here:)

Also having a lot of Ghost notes floating through if you have any idea on how to stop them?

Your blue eDRUMin has the global channel set to '1'. You probably need to change it to channel 10 to match your red eDRUMin. Not sure how that got changed.

Global Channel

And yes, those control change messages are coming from your hihat. You need to calibrate its range. You can manually adjust the size of the green calibration box such that the red indicator is not inside it when you foot is off the pedal.

Also, please let me know if you experience any more crashes.

Since I don't see the notes coming out of the hi hat in the app on the hat, just the monitor, what do I want to calibrate or adjust?

You hihat is not sending notes, it's sending positional information. From pedal editor, you'll be able to notice an issue because even when you foot is off the pedal, it will still continuously show the position changing ever so slightly. You can fix it by properly calibrating.

Calibrate hihat pedal

Thanks for the second crash log. I suspect its related to your hihat constantly sending positional information--which should give a good path forward for reproducing the crash. Thanks again,

Yeah I think I got the pedal calibrated now, but having issues with it not triggering probably half the hits and dropping some snare hits along the way.
(I can move this to a new thread, but it is a huge issue for me.)
