Re: Best (and not too expensive) center mounted sensors?

I didn't see the UFO cross bar install as DIY. There was no drilling or cutting involved for the snare. I just removed the opposing lugs and attached the crossbar using the lug bolts - adjusted the crossbar to center the piezo - tightened everything and then used a metal yardstick across the top of ...

Re: DIY: 3+ Cone Builds!!!

Hi Wayne, Although my UFO cross bar plus side mounted piezo is working well enough I do occasionally hot spot and I have to favor one side of the snare for rim clicks. I know a shop that could cut the 1/4 board. I think they could also modify your cad file to 8 lugs. I would be very appreciative if ...

Re: Help with hi-hat closure

This thread is helpful - my travel was 3.3 centimeters. I adjusted it to 2.5 - it plays better

Re: DIY: 3+ Cone Builds!!!

Hi Wayne, The looks pretty straight forward to fabricate. I have a few questions if you don't mind: 1. How thick is the plate you mounted the piezo's on? 2. It looks you're using three of the home depot brackets to mount the plate to the shell. Are you re-using the lug screws to mount the brackets? ...

Re: Any interest in a touchscreen control for eDRUMin?

Having the eDRUMin control screen always available (I usually have Superior Drummer full screen) and controlled by a more precise control is an attractive idea.

Re: some help needed on first attempt to connect

Sounds like you're out of the woods and well on your way to a well playing edrum setup. My 5 piece Ludwig Accent Combo with UFO cross bar triggers and 3 Yamaha PCY-155 for ride and crashes (PCY-135 for hi-hats mounted on a Ludwig hi-hat stand with a DIY Hall effect sensor mounted in a little project...

Re: some help needed on first attempt to connect

There isn't a written in stone note assignment standard for edrum hardware and software. Even Superior Drummer note assignments vary depending on the kit designers. I think the goal should be to simplify as best you can but anticipate that you will need to tweak different kits. This makes sense beca...

Re: Center mounted vs 3 cone Snare?

Hi Rob,

Do I have it right from reading your previous post that the eDRUMin can do positional sensing for the center and off-center with 3 cone sensor setups but not the edge hits?

Thanks,

Doug

Re: Where's Rob?

ED8 should be available mid September. I'm using my prototype as my main eDRUMin with an ED10 in the host port. I'm pretty happy with the ED8. The size and feature set strike a good balance. Looking forward to checking out the ED8 and hope you can enjoy some quiet time. Everyone, stop fiddling arou...

Re: Planning a new eDRUMin family member

Hi Rob, I always read Digital Drummer when it arrives. I've noticed several new snares that feature multiple sensors such as three in the center and more at the edges. I think the purpose is to even out the response and improve positional sensing. I'm curious if you've looked into accommodating such...
