1. I have set up the drum map to BFD. Does that limit working articulation use? I have a CyY5R in the crash 1 slot. Can't get the bell to activate at all. using the configuration that requires two cables. And yes, the slot to the right of the ride slow shows bell. The problem is not the cymbal itse...

I purposely chose a snare that had a large sound variation, but that's not necessarily what you want.

Yes, not all snares in SD3 have positional sensing, although I think most do. As for the hotspot suppression, if you have the amount control set too high, the feature will not suppress a hit when it would otherwise be completely suppressed.

It must be a setting in SD3 or eDRUMin. Can you post a screenshot of your settings in the eDRUMin control application for your snare?

I would start by making the decay very relaxed. Hit the pedal once and take a look at the transient. If you do that and post a screenshot I can make more recommendations for you.

So if you turn the xtalk control for the ride all the way down, it still get's 'eaten'? What make of cymbal is that? The amount of gain you are using is really high--that's what I might expect for a Yamaha cymbal.
