Re: old MIDI Expression devices with software version 2.9.5.15
They *should* work, but I honestly didn't test them much. As for their firmware, I think they stopped getting updates at version 2.9.3.16 or something like that. I'm out of town for a few more days, so I can't confirm that at the moment.

Re: Lemon 18" ride problem
I was able to fix his issue without adding any extra controls. If you are experiencing problems using a Lemon ride with a Yamaha style.adaptor, I don't have a solution. If you do some searching in these forums, you'll come across several posts I made over the years explaining why it happens.

Re: Using a Sustain Pedal in a Trigger Input on the eDrumIn
I have some experimental code to support switch type pedals on the ring connection of an input, but it's not well fleshed out yet. Probably won't be supported any time soon as it's going to take a fair bit of UI changes.

Re: Name inputs?
No, it's not like that. I think it's pretty intuitive, though. Just for fun, set some of your inputs to kit pieces and everything will become very clear.

Re: Hi hat cross talk
If you have both pads setup well, then the crosstalk controls should be enough to make one pad doesn't trigger the other. But if one of the pads isn't setup well (you are getting double triggering for example), the crosstalk controls wlll have a hard time doing their job. I rewatched the video, and ...

Re: Fantom crash sound.
It's really hard to say where the issue is coming from based on your description. The eDRUMin MIDI Monitor might help. That has a 1000 event memory and also shows the source of events (which input generated them(. If you go that route, I would have it filter CC messages to make it easier to find sou...

Re: hi hat soft stepping and SD3
You would want to recalibrate on the eDRUMin side. After recalibration, SD3 would see the same range of values. From a playing perspective, you'd find that subtle changes in the pressure on the hihat pedal would translate to more predictable changes in the hihat sound in SD3. I would also hesitate t...

Re: positional sensing help
You're not going to get perfectly gradual progression. What you're looking for is places on the snare where you can get predicable results. To get perfectly gradual results would require different input circuity about 4ms of scan time. 4ms is a long time to wait.

Re: hi hat soft stepping and SD3
For a multitude of reasons, eDRUMin requires that the hihat position returns to at least 70% open before a new note closed pedal can be trigger.ed You might want to consider reducing the amount of travel (real, physical, mechanical) that your hihat uses. For example, my VH-13 has less than 1cm of tr...
