Connect iPad to ED10 host port?

Hi Rob I am wondering if I can expect to be able to connect(*) an iPad to the ED10 USB host port and send MIDI from iPad apps through the ED10 to my laptop, which would be connected to the main type B USB port on the ED10? I understand this would probably not allow me to use the ED10 control app on ...

Update of Roland TD-12 through eDRUMin?

Hi Rob I am the happy owner for three years of an ED10, updated with latest firmware. I have recently bought a used TD-12 module, which I need to update the firmware of. Do you think I would be able to do that by connecting ED10 MIDI Out to TD-12 MIDI In and running the Roland update program on my P...

"Bridge resistor" needed for dual mono?

Hi Rob I have two single piezo pads. One I wired as "Drum Head" in the ED10 manual's "Dual Piezo Pad" diagram (Roland style). The other I wired as "Drum Rim". I run the two pads through two standard TRS cables to a standard "stereo jack Y-splitter" (two female...

"No firmware file" error on firmware update

Downloaded latest ED software today for Win 10 (1.5.0.19) and installed. I started installation as non-admin user, but entered admin credentials when prompted by the Windows UAC. Installation seemed to succeed without errors. After installation the app connects fine to my ED10R2 and displays the red...

Re: A2E Snare: rim piezo position

Hi Rob Curious if you can elaborate on "not wanted"? My head piezos are mounted on an R-Drums foam decoupler on a wooden cross bar. The rim piezos just sit directly on the cross bar, some to the side, some middle-ish. It all works OK now I think - although always room for improvement - so ...

Re: No presets available on Control app on Win 10

Thank you, Rob. When do you expect 1.5 to mature from beta to "stable", please?

Best regards,

Re: R Drum stuff compatible with eDRUMin 10?

I am running R Drums "Dual trigger set (trigger cone pro + rim piezo)" and "Decoupler PRO" in my 14" snare and 12", 13", 16" toms. Using their Monogon trigger for my 22" bass drum. All are center mounted on DIY wooden cross bars/boards. Using drum-tec Rea...

Re: No presets available on Control app on Win 10

Thanks, Rob. I did the install as a non-admin user and entered admin credentials when prompted by the Windows UAC. I'll try to just log on as admin, install, log out, log in as non-admin and use the software. That might do as a workaround. Meanwhile I would be very happy to get advice on the bonus q...

Re: A2E Snare: rim piezo position

+1 interest from me. I have a full 1991 Tama Rockstar DX kit - Jet Black, double BD and all :-) - that I am A2E converting. Finally received my ED10 this week and am going to re-open the 14" steel snare this weekend and move the piezos from side to center to get full benefit of ED10 positional ...
