Firmware update crash, need help. Pedal issue

Hi. I have two issues.
1. Firmware update crashed partway and now my device is unusable. Gave me a text document saying this:

2. Pedal only will show 0-44 on midi cc's but I want it to go 0-127. How can I change this? (once I fix the firmware situation.)
It is a EP-1 Mission Engineering Expression pedal.
