midi expression straight into MIDI Pedal connector on Piano

if i need a foot pedal for a digital piano, but the only connector on the piano for the pedal is a MIDI connection, can i plug in a regular sustain pedal into this device and then connect this device into the piano? will it work without hooking up to a computer?

If the MIDI connection on the piano is a standard full size MIDI port, the you could get or working with a MIDI Expression iO. It's the only device i make that's capable of working without a connection to a computer.
