DSP Trigger FAULTS AND CULTS

Post by ed_louco01 »

Hello I'm using google translator

I'm having a problem with DSP Trigger PADS AMONG THE CHOKE
sonar x1
Superior Drummer 2.3
Roland TD9kx2

Connection between dsp trigger snare, kick, tom

By hitting the pads at the same time and synchronized faults occur in both.

What do I do to solve this problem?

Hi, I'm not exactly sure what your problem is, but I suspect it's a crosstalk issue.

For the crosstalk feature to work, you need to route your MIDI properly.

You will have three instances of DSP trigger (snare, kick and tom). Make sure you set your snare instance as 'master output'. This will cause all MIDI generated by DSP Trigger to be output by the snare instance. This way, you only need to route the MIDI from the snare instance of DSP Trigger to Drums Superior.

The last important thing to do is to route the MIDI from your TD9 to the snare instance of DSP Trigger. Don't send it to Drum Superior directly. It must pass through DSP Trigger or there's no way to cancel hits caused by crosstalk

Thanks buddy for your attention.

TD9 (kick, snare and TOM.) >>
DPS TRIGGER (all as master) >>
MIDI track in master dsp, outPUT SUPERIOR drummer >>

is that correct?

failure only happens when you hit two pads at the same time!

I am also using a vst independent Zildjian cymbal BFD Eco or SD
Direct MIDI to TD9 hithat and dishes.

You found a way to leave the center of the snare level equal to the kidneys and edge?
I read some topics with compressors.

thank you

SNARE AUDIO --> DSP Trigger 1 (Set as master) --> DRUM SUPERIOR
KICK AUDIO --> DSP Trigger 2
TOM AUDIO --> DSP Trigger 3
TD9 MIDI --> DSP Trigger 1

Is that how you have it setup?

SNARE AUDIO -> DSP Trigger 1 (Set the master) -> DRUM TOP
KICK AUDIO -> DSP Trigger 2
TOM AUDIO -> DSP Trigger 3
TD9 MIDI -> VST BFD ECO HITHAT

THIS HARD SET THE SENSITIVITY
TOM AND SNARE CENTER
the center of the pad are ALWAYS stronger know how to fix them?

First, you are not sending the TD9 MIDI to DSP Trigger, so DSP Trigger cannot filter hits caused by crosstalk.

Use the 'edge scaler' control. You can find it by right-clicking int the 'Positional Sensing Area'

First thanks for the help.

I am using the following way.
I disabled the midi outputs of v-drum snare, tom and kick.
And I called directly in dsp trigger.

I do not understand when you talk about the midi output TD9 >> BFD ECO FOR Cymbals And HITHAT. how do I connect them? I did not find support for the dsp hit hat.

cymbals and hithat, plates are connected directly to the VST via midi is correct?

I still have problems with faulty touch pads at the same time.

Thanks for the help friend.

Hi Ed,

I don't think you really understand how DSP Trigger works. Let's go through the setup for a snare only as that's what most people would use DSP Trigger for.

The first thing that you need to understand is that your snare shouldn't be connected to your TD9. Instead you should be connecting it into audio inputs on your sound card. DSP will process the raw audio from your pad and generate MIDI which you then send to your VSTi.

The second thing you need to understand is that the MIDI from your TD9 shouldn't be sent to the VSTi directly, instead it should be send to DSP Trigger. Why? Because if you don't, when you hit your snare hard enough, it'll trigger another piece on your kit and will he heard in your VSTi. By passing the MIDI to DSP Trigger, these faulty hits can be filtered out before going to your VSTi.

I hope that helps.

Hello friend Thank you for your attention.

I'm sending you some pictures of my setup

As I see on the image using 2 vst
PADS >> P10 >> DSP TRIGGER CABLE TRACK >>> BFD VST MIDI >> ECO1 "DRUMS"
ROLAND TD9 >> BFD VST MIDI >>> ECO2 >>>> "cymbal"

It's a bit tricky to figure out what's going on. Can I ask why you want to have two instances of BFD Eco?

Here's an image showing how the routing should work with one instance of BFD Eco.
Image

The TD9's MIDI should be send to DSP Trigger so that the crosstalk function will work properly. DSP Trigger will forward the TD9's MIDI on to BFD Eco. If you wanted to send the TD9 and DSP Trigger MIDI to separate VSTis, you'll loose the crosstalk cancellation function. I could possibly implement a switch to prevent the MIDI from being forwarded.

Rob.
