Re: Upgrade from v2.02? to v2.2 v2.3?
I would go for version 2.3. There have been a few hihat improvements in version 2.3 (nothing earth shattering though). But as you say, if it's not broken, maybe don't fix it. If you update your main ED10 to version 2,3, then you can update all the others without disconnecting them from the host port.

Re: eDRUMin version 2.3 BETA
Nope. For the 3 sensor mesh pads I have some code in there to level out the response. I have quite a bit going on right now, but after 2.3 is released, I'll look into doing something similar for center mounted sensors.

Re: eDRUMin version 2.3 BETA
Seperate velocity curves for different articulations has been around for quite some time already. You just need to make sure your device is in advanced mode.

Re: Planning a new eDRUMin family member
No, nothing new hardware wise. I managed to keep the device's footprint just slightly bigger than ED4, which is quite an achievement imho.

Re: Planning a new eDRUMin family member
It's coming along. It's going through EMC compliance testing at the moment. Assuming no problems in that department, should be available late August or early September.

Re: Compatibility Issue with Roland CY-13R
I have occasionally seen false positives pop up. I'll investigate. As a workaround you can disable to compatibility check.

Re: USB MIDI to PC or 5-pin MIDI into Audio Interface?
You could also record the MIDI from the eDRUMin USB MIDI and from your MOTU onto separate MIDI tracks and compare the timing. I suspect the MOTU MIDI would have about an extra 1ms or latency.

Your ears are the only tools that really matter. If you dig through this forum, you'll find some posts about latency measurement procedures me and others have performed.

Re: USB MIDI to PC or 5-pin MIDI into Audio Interface?
I think USB should probably be your best option and should give you the lowest latency. The DIN is only there if you need to use the eDRUMin without a computer. In that setup you can power the eDRUMin with a USB charger or a Boss style 9v adapter.

I will fix the issue, but that's all I will commit to.
