Re: Master choke on one cymbal?
What you want is a MIDI effect that can duplicate MIDI messages. In Cubase there's one called MIDI Transformer. I'm sure most other DAWs have one too.

Re: Master choke on one cymbal?
I'm trying to imagine myself hitting one cymbal and then grabbing another to choke the first. It seems awkward. Back in the day, I played around with choking cymbals by seeing if the signal dropped off quicker than expected. It would work if you choked the cymbal right after the hit, but not reliabl...

Re: Help with hi-hat closure
Ya, that TI sensor will not work with ED10R1, but you could pick up an ED4 to handle your hihat and that sensor.

Re: Question on (more) inputs on the edrummin 10
No hub. You would just plug the eDRUMin 4 into the host port of the eDRUMin 10. And yes, split dual mono inputs can be triggered at the same time.

Re: Having an issue getting up and going....
I make all my own cables. It's a lot of work, but it's worth it to have anything fitting together nicely.

Re: Having an issue getting up and going....
No, cable length is not going to be an issue. The TRS connectors need to be dimensionally accurate though, otherwise they will not mate properly with the jacks on the eDRUMin. At $2 USD per cable, I'm not surprised the cables you linked are giving you grief.

Re: eDRUMin version 2.3.1 BETA
Thanks for the feedback. Ideally it won't be better or worse than before, but it means that eDRUMin will be able to read FSRs connected to the ring of a trigger input, which might lead to some interesting DIY designs for snares.

Re: Having an issue getting up and going....
Do you have a link for the cables you bought? Sounds like they are the culprit.

Re: Alesis pads too hot?
I just use a handful of SD3 kits and I've adjusted my eDRUMin settings so they sound good for all of the those kits. Maybe I would run into issues if I started working with more applications. Being able to set a separate velocity curve for positional sensing has come up several times in the past, an...

Re: Alesis pads too hot?
Getting solid dynamics is all about fine-tuning the eDRUMin gain and velocity curve. You should get your dynamics right before the MIDI goes into your drumming app. eDRUMin has analog gain and its curve is applied to 10 bit values, whereas any MIDI application will only have digital gain and velocit...
