Re: Metal Cymbal Choking
I'm using 2.3.1.21. I think that for most guys the choke is quick immediately following the strike, (most likely within a quarter second) but I can see your point for jazz or ballads where cymbals might ring out a longer before choking. Oh well, it was just an idea. Might experiment with capacitive ...

Metal Cymbal Choking
I have recently added edge switches to my LV metal cymbals, mostly for the choke function on crashes, and one on the ride for edge detection. Somewhat similar to what other are experiencing with rubber cymbals, I too have some issues with unwanted choking at random intervals. It usually (but not alw...

Re: Magnatrack 20" Cymbolic dual zone ride settings
@leem- The piezo cable is a bit pricey, but it was worth it to try multiple ideas and configurations. I had pretty good success with it as an edge sensor on the hi-hat, but your mileage may vary. You can find it on DigiKey- https://www.te.com/usa-en/product-1005801-1.html. One thing I discovered is ...

Re: metal 3 zone bell sensitivity
Thanks Rob, 3 zone working correctly now. I think adding a wiring diagram to the manual is an excellent idea, especially for guys like me that really don't have much experience with modules and are unaware of manufacturers wiring conventions.

Re: metal 3 zone bell sensitivity
Thanks. If I were to go back to a switch for bell triggering, it should still be wired to ring/sleeve on the bell channel just like the piezo would, correct?

Re: metal 3 zone bell sensitivity
So, I committed some dumbassery by inadvertently placing the pot (wired up as a rheostat) in line with the bell piezo instead of the bow. After fixing that, I configured as a dual zone metal to baseline the functionality. I got it working nicely with good separation and consistency. THEN, leaving th...

Re: metal 3 zone bell sensitivity
Hi Rob - I'm still struggling with my 20" LV ride in the 3 zone metal mode using a bell piezo instead of switch. I tried your suggestion of placing some resistance in series with the piezo, it was a 100K pot actually, and zero to 100k ohms made no difference. I switched out piezos to weed out a...

Re: metal 3 zone bell sensitivity
Haven't tried yet. Going to try a different trigger configuration or two first. I'll let you know
