Re: Roland RT Triggers with Ableton

Calibration get you closes, but you need to tweak those calibration settings to get better performance. It's all explained well in the manual. Definitely need to know how the hit decay and threshold controls work.

No plan at the moment. I'll keep it in mind though.

Re: CV Pedal Compatibility

I would plug my (yet to be purchased) pedal into a MIDI Expression device; plug the MIDI Expression unit directly into my PC via USB, and thus be able to accomplish this. Am I on the right track? 1. Will MIDI Expression work OK with any of the "Ernie Ball" pedals? Indeed, you are. It defi...

Re: CV Pedal Compatibility

I had spent some time doing some research when you first asked about the MS-01, and I'm going to play it safe and say it's not going to work. Works fine with the EP-3 and the Yamaha FC-7. I have both of those pedals.

Re: Positional sensing in DSP Trigger

Currently there is no positional sensing for reflection plate designs. For mesh heads, it works similar to the Roland Method, but a lot of other considerations are taken into account to improve accuracy. In terms of design, I'd say it's best to just go buy a commercial pad. They are designed to last...

Re: Control of individual MIDI channels with MIDI Expression IO connected to a Strymon Timeline

1) If I have understood correctly, the MIDI Expression IO can generate value ranges derived from the movement of the expression pedal(s) connected to inputs 1 - 2 (even modulated such response curves) and send them to MIDI Out individually and on different MIDI channels. This would enable the contr...

Re: Linux APP for midi expression?

So, I started working on this at the most basic level, and made some progress. Before I go any further I want to make sure Wine will do its stuff. If you update your firmware to the latest version, I'll send you an installer that would allow to confirm whether or not there is any point in proceeding...

Re: Can I use Midi Expression to control filter knob on synth

Hi,

Sorry I misunderstood. I thought you were looking for a solution without a connected DAW. If you are using a DAW, you can use any MIDI Expression and route its MIDI to your Minilogue.

Re: Can I use Midi Expression to control filter knob on synth

So I looked over the manual of he Minilogue. It looks like that USB port is for connecting the Minilogue to your computer, and not for connecting other devices to it. That means the only product you can use is the MIDI Expression iO. It has full size MIDI ports and does not require a computer as it'...

Re: Linux APP for midi expression?

I'm glad you got it sorted. I can promise that there won't be a native Linux app. It would just be way too much work to recode my entire GUI for just a handful of users. What I can promise, however, is some effort on my behalf to get a Wine friendly PC version--maybe by summer.
