Re: Can I use Midi Expression to control filter knob on synth

Hi,

Sorry I misunderstood. I thought you were looking for a solution without a connected DAW. If you are using a DAW, you can use any MIDI Expression and route its MIDI to your Minilogue.

Re: Can I use Midi Expression to control filter knob on synth

So I looked over the manual of he Minilogue. It looks like that USB port is for connecting the Minilogue to your computer, and not for connecting other devices to it. That means the only product you can use is the MIDI Expression iO. It has full size MIDI ports and does not require a computer as it'...

Re: Linux APP for midi expression?

I'm glad you got it sorted. I can promise that there won't be a native Linux app. It would just be way too much work to recode my entire GUI for just a handful of users. What I can promise, however, is some effort on my behalf to get a Wine friendly PC version--maybe by summer.

Re: Linux APP for midi expression?

It definitely does work on Linux, the only issue is that there is no control application available for Linux.

Maybe you are having another issue. Without a pedal attached, look in through the back while connecting the USB cable. Does an internal LED flash once?

Re: Linux APP for midi expression?

Hi John, Linux support is not so simple. Linux is not friendly to to way that the control application communicates with MIDI Expression devices--there are permission issues that would need to be resolved. I think a more practice approach would be to implement a web based editor that could be run in ...

Re: Aftertouch / Channel Pressure ?

Hi,

There is no option for using Aftertouch. Can you be more clear of what you are after and how it would be used? If it's useful and not too difficult to implement, I will.

Re: Using MIDI Expression with keyboard rather than computer

MIDI Expression devices combine a few different interfaces together into one package. There's a MIDI interface, an HID interface, as well as a keyboard interface for sending key-commands. It has recently come to my attention that some 3rd party gear with doesn't like 'seeing' the keyboard interface....

Re: MidiExpression IO with FCB1010 pedal

The pedal graphics in the MIDI Expression Control application won't move in response to your FCB1010. Those graphics are only for pedals that are plugged into the MIDI Expression. Alright here's the next thing to check. With the control application open, when you launch the iFCB, two two of the Acti...

Re: MidiExpression IO with FCB1010 pedal

Can we start with the very basics? Forgetting about iFCB for a moment, let's make sure your FCB1010 actually works. 1. Connect the FCB1010 to the MIDI Expression (looking from the back at the MIDI port of the iO, the left port is the IN and the right port is the OUT). 2. Open the Control Application...
