Hi Rob, I setup the second stand I got for your hall effect sensor. This Yamaha HS-810 stand is old but better than the one I've been using (Ludwig one that came with the Accent Combo kit from around 2008) It also has an ideal setup for adding the sensor - there's an empty threaded hole on the foot ...

UPDATE - just arrived 3/6/2024
UPDATE 2 - Decided to leave my nicely setup DIY in place so I sourced a new "used" Yamaha hi-hat stand for this - will be working on it tomorrow 3/16/24

Hi Rob, The graphic you posted ("Correct") appears to place the sensor with the beveled side down (left side of graphic where South pole of magnet travels down to the chip laying "flat"). I have the beveled side facing the magnet. I think my sensor is working OK but checking with...

@Mr_Bluesguy - yes, they're stacked together and magnetically attached to the rod with InstaMorph moldable plastic wrapped around it.
